Learn lifesaving with us!

Teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water-rescue education – judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defence methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 400 m timed swim.

**It is REQUIRED that students doing Bronze Cross have Emergency First Aid.  It is REQUIRED that students entering National Lifeguard have Standard First Aid.**
Standard First Aid supersedes Emergency First Aid and is valid for 3 years, so Right Reaction recommends taking Standard First Aid with Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross.
(*Right Reaction also offers a Standard First Aid (15 hrs) course option with Bronze Cross for an additional fee.  Standard First Aid is a prerequisite for National Lifeguard.)

**It is also recommended that students attend length swim practice on Mon Aug 31 & Tues Sept 1 (130p-330p) to prepare for the course**
